Dr. Bharath heads Energy and Urban Research Group (EURG). He is currently Assistant professor in Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science. His area of interest is spatial pattern analysis, Urban growth modelling, natural disasters, geoinformatics, landscape modelling, urban planning, open source GIS, digital image processing. He has published over 50 research papers in reputed peer reviewed international and national journals, 60 papers in the international and national symposiums as well as 1 book and 6 book chapters to his credit.

Chandan M C
Chandan M C is a Research Scholar at RCGSIDM, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He obtained his Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka in 2015. His areas of interests are geo-informatics, urban infrastructure, web mapping, web based processing, data mining and urban growth modeling. He has over three years of experience in construction industry as well as teaching. He has taught various subjects for the undergraduate/postgraduate students such as Surveying, Remote sensing and GIS, Transportation Engineering and Environmental Studies. Chandan has published 4 research papers in peer reviewed journals, three book chapters and has attended several national, international conferences.

He was a gold medalist in his M.Tech in discipline Environmental Science and Technology from Thapar University, Punjab, India. His areas of interest are spatial pattern analysis, urban climate studies, Land surface temperature extraction, urban heat Island studies, urban growth modeling, open source GIS, digital image processing and geo-infomatics.

Prakash P S
Research Scholar
He has obtained his Master’s degree in Geo-Informatics from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka in 2013. His areas of interests are spatial data, renewable energy, urban infrastructure, open source technologies and machine leaning. He has over four years of experience in spatial technologies and renewable energy industry. He has worked in various projects to carry out technical site suitability analysis and project feasibility studies.

Dr. Vinay S
Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Vinay obtained his doctoral degree from VTU, Karnataka in the year 2020. His doctoral work focussed on hydrological modelling of environment flows. His research interest is in geoinformatics, urban infrastructure, hydrology, environmental flow, data mining, and modelling. He has published over 15 peer-reviewed journals, a book chapter, and attended several national and international conferences.

Madhumita Dey is a Doctoral Student, Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
